Dear Newnham International Fresher,
In about 10 days or so you will be coming to Newnham full of excitement mixed with anxiety, wondering about what your life at Cambridge will be like, what people you will meet and whether you will like your subject. As you hopefully know by now, to help internationals settle in (because you need to get used to not only to Cambridge, but to UK in general!) International Freshers' Week is organised in addition to general Freshers’ Week. It is a special opportunity for internationals to get to know each other and get used to your new home (believe me, Newnham soon will become your real home from home!) before the busy term starts. There will be welcome events for you, college and city tours as well as plenty of time to make friends with fellow Freshers and students in higher years. You can join in any day of that week and visit any events you like.
