Last year Morgan Stanley hosted a fabulous event for female undergraduates at Newnham. It was more than just a recruitment exercise for Morgan Stanley - they brought along an eminent female speaker together with a number of representatives who work at Morgan Stanley to talk about their personal experiences in banking; what they had enjoyed; what they disliked; what they wished they had known when they started out. They shared tips as to what has been useful in moving forward their career and what it was really like to work in the City.

Event Newnham Year Book - "SURVIVORS PHOTO" - 3rd May 1.30pm

Our wonderful photographer Alan Davidson has come up with a fabulous idea for the inside back cover of the Newnham Year Book celebrating our 140th Anniversary. A "SURVIVORS PHOTO" - with everyone on Clough Lawn - Alan will be up in the air in the College's cherry picker and shoot from above. We hope that everyone will spare 20 minutes from 1.30pm to 1.50pm to be included - the final result will be a wonderful photograph showing all members of the Newnham Community - I am not aware of our ever having done this before - so come and make History!

 JCR Elections are taking place over the next week. Manifestos (one A4 page outlining why you are standing for the position/what qualities you can bring/your plans and ideas; with a proposer and seconder)

need to be emailed to or placed in Ailsa Bloomer's pigeon hole by MIDNIGHT on WEDNESDAY 2nd March. Hustings will be at 5pm in the bar on SUNDAY 6th.

The college are currently trying to reorganise the Maintenance Request System. We will eventually have an automated computer reporting system but until then please use the maintenance request proforma to report maintenance issues.
