The Newnham Anonymous Players (or N.A.P as otherwise known) are an up and coming theatrical force, with a history of experimental theatre and some rather daring performances. The society's performances are more often than not based in Newnham's own theatrical space, The Old Labs - a versatile studio with a fab lighting rig and box, excellent atmosphere and a projection screen for the arty among you.

For all the Freshers; keep a look out for N.A.P gatherings in the coming term, and do come and introduce yourself to us at the college societies fair.

For all the olds; the times they are a -changing, come get involved in radical
new developments and exciting things! Involving drama and bawdy meetings!

Eyes peeled y'all...watch this space for NEWS OF UPCOMING SHOWS AND AUDITIONS!

Currently, N.A.P President Laura 'Pixie' Hounsom is busy directing a production of William Shakespeare's Lost Play 'Cardenio', in a two week tour of Devon, as well as a three week run at the Edinburgh Fringe. Re-worked by Bernard Richards, the author of previous 4 star N.A.P production 'Ted and Sylvia in Cambridge', this is definitely one to watch! An exclusive and original script re-imagining one of the most hotly debated plays attributed to Shakespeare!

Newnham Arts and Photographic Society

The Newnham Arts and Photographic Society is a very informal and friendly society - the Committee exist to keep the Art Room stocked full of arts supplies for you to use, and to arrange classes and workshops for anyone to attend. There is no formal membership; all you have to do to use the Art Room is to fill in a form from the Tutorial Office and give it to the Porters.

We also look after the Dark Room - at the moment, we're trying to get it up and running again after nearly a year of disuse, but we will let you know when it's ready, and then after a brief induction by one of the committee, you can sign the key out whenever you want to develop your own photos from film.

We're always keen for more hands to keep things running smoothly, so if you think you know a bit about how to run a dark room, or you'd like to make sure the Art Room's kept tidy and easy for everyone to use - or you're looking for an opportunity to go shopping for art supplies while someone else foots the bill! - then please do send us an email and we'll do our very best to get you involved as much or as little as suits you.
