Newnham Anonymous Players

President: Helen (hah33@cam.ac.uk)
Treasurer: Julia (jgaf3@cam.ac.uk)

The Newnham Anonymous Players (or N.A.P as otherwise known) are an up and coming theatrical force, with a history of experimental theatre and some rather daring performances.

We are committed not only to bringing great drama to Newnham, but to making play production more accessible for all the budding theatrical talent within and outside our college - whether you have a lot or a little experience.... So if you're interested in any aspect of theatre don't hesitate to contact Helen (hah33) for more information!

Our next performance will be...

Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None, 17th-19th November, Newnham
College Old Labs

Newnham Arts and Photographic Society (NAPsoc)

Laura Fergus: lf318@cam.ac.uk
Siobhan Carver: sc638@cam.ac.uk

The Newnham Arts and Photographic Society is a very informal and friendly society - the Committee exist to keep the Art Room stocked full of arts supplies for you to use, and to arrange classes and workshops for anyone to attend. There is no formal membership; all you have to do to use the Art Room is to fill in a form from the Tutorial Office and give it to the Porters.

We also look after the Dark Room - at the moment, we're trying to get it up and running again after nearly a year of disuse, but we will let you know when it's ready, and then after a brief induction by one of the committee, you can sign the key out whenever you want to develop your own photos from film.

We're always keen for more hands to keep things running smoothly, so if you think you know a bit about how to run a dark room, or you'd like to make sure the Art Room's kept tidy and easy for everyone to use - or you're looking for an opportunity to go shopping for art supplies while someone else foots the bill! - then please do send us an email and we'll do our very best to get you involved as much or as little as suits you.

The Newnham Arts Society

Hetta Howes (hh329)

The Newnham Arts Society, way back when, invited Virginia Woolf to come and give a lecture at newnham, a lecture which would become 'A Room of One's Own.' The society was re-launched two years ago by Dr. Pam Hirsch our senior treasurer. We invite speakers from across the arts, male and female, to come and speak at Newnham.
